8.5 GM carrier is a direct replacement for your 1971 to 1987 Chevy C clip or non Clip Axle. It is a 3 series open differential carrier. It is designed to fit the rear of your vehicle and fits gear ratios from 2.73 to 5.13 Bearings are removed, this sometimes is the only way to see if they have spun.
