Installing new (head) seals on the n54 injectors is necessary every time you (re)install the fuel injectors. It is a crucial seal that keeps combustion from escaping the cylinder. Older leaking, or reused seals, will cause a variety of running and performance issues and may trigger DME codes, including misfire.
