Lightly Oiling is recommended, just like K&N filters. USE FABRIC AIR FILTER OIL, not motor oil...lol Very high quality! Although these are not as good as the molded one piece design from K&N, they are much better than EMGO or other Chinese knock off brands. Pretty sturdy, and the best filter for the price that i have found. The rubber mount is much harder to remove from the cone compared to the other bargain brands.
