When Jaguar introduced the Mark 2 with disc brakes; also the 1959 Mark 1 or 3.4 saloon, 4 wheel disc brakes were new, and owners did not want old Morrises and Austins crashing into them at sttop lights, so Jaguar added this bumper badge to alert those behind.
