We now offer our flat tappet solid (mechanical) lifters. These lifters are completely solid with no oil band. These are the most desirable type of solid lifter to use in a big block Mopar. Some other types of solid lifters can have an oil band or groove cut into them. In some cases, as the cam raises the lifter, the groove can intersect with the oil galley and allow major releases of oil, leading to oil pressure issues and excess windage.
