these were removed from a 94 Vulcan 500, the butterflies are free. the slides go up and down freely, I took off one bowl and it needs to be cleaned , there is varnish but it is no overwhelming. Please keep in mind that they do need to be cleaned and or rebuilt. ask questions before purchase....
