Tool powers on only when plugged in as lithium battery is no good comes with what is pictured tested to power on. I do not have heavy equipment or a light truck, but I did try to connect it to my van with OBD two but would not read comes as is as pictured touchscreen does function with your finger 12 V vehicle plug missing the end and the fuse. I was able to use a spare end that I had around and it worked, working on getting that fixed....
