What is a phenolic thermal spacer? A phenolic spacer (aka thermal spacer) is a heat insulator installed between a cylinder head and an intake manifold. What it does? The phenolic thermal spacer is blocking conductive heat transfer from the cylinder head to the intake manifold, thus reducing heat soak. What are the benefits?
