This is a New Old Stock Lucas Model 23D4 centrifugal advance distributor made in November of 1973. This was standard equipment on all Austin/Morris Cooper S engines and is suitable for all A-Series four cylinder applications including Austin Healey Sprite and MG Midget. This one has been improved with red rotor, cap with brass contacts (not aluminum) and, most importantly, solid steel in the normally hollow clamping area.
