1972 LT1 Corvette Engine and Muncie 4-Speed Transmission. I purchased a 1972 LT1 Corvette in 2000 with the intent of replacing the original engine with an aluminum Big Block. The car was running and driving before the LT1 engine was pulled. The only thing that was done to the engine was to squirt oil into the cylinders through the spark plug holes, and attach the engine to the cradle.
