Bought another salvage yard out and this is on a shelf marked Yamaha xj700 X water cooled Maxim. I believe those bikes were made in the early 1980s. Please note that this one is for the water cooled model and I think the air-cooled model use a different gas tank. You can see in the pictures the paint is peeling in two spots and there's a dent on the side. As you can see in one of the pictures there's rust on the inside of the tank so you need to put a gas tank sealer kit in this before using....
