For sale is a 2010-2019 Subaru Legacy & Outback, 2008-2014 Subaru Tribeca crankshaft oil seal. This seal goes on the front timing cover just behind the crank pulley. The seal keeps a tight grip on the pulley so oil doesn't leak when it's rotating. As any seal in an engine, over time it will start to seep or leak due to the lack of elasticity of the rubber on the seal. The heat and cold cycles on the seal will degrade them.
