Here is a hood off of a 1977ish Chevy van. It does show wear as you can see. It will need some minor body work. The hood hinge will need replaced as shown, and you'll have to work on the hardware holding it in, or maybe drill it out. This is definitely a workable hood. It will need some minor body work as shown, probably some dings/dents/etc. that you will find after sanding. I don't see any holes rusted in it. It just needs a good sanding/blasting/body work and paint to go onto your application...
