Used HVAC blower fan DV6N18456AA taken from 2015 Ford Escape AWD Titanium with 31,000 miles.My fan was making noise, increasing as the speed was increased. I thought it was a bearing going bad so I had Meineke replace the unit. Asking for the old part, I found the fan cage covered with white insulation. I removed it and checked for any imbalance or bearing issue and none found.I assume the noise was from insulation from the HVAC system breaking loose and getting inside the fan. First two photos ...
