IT WORKS! I took this out of my 04 Silverado. The passenger side slider fell out. It DOES move the temperature control up and down if you carefully stick it in the slot. I don't know how to make it stay in, and did not want to experiment on fixing it- for fear of breaking it altogether. So I move it down in the summer and up in the winter.
