This is a vintage Sun 7,000 rpm tachometer. The model number is RC-72. The Sun RC72 tach was a factory option on 1962 Impalas with the 409/409HP engine. This tach was made specifically for GM and was only available as an option for 62 Chevrolet cars with the 409/409HP engine or over the Chevy dealer parts counter.The 409/409HP engine came with dual 4 barrel carburetors and a solid lifter camshaft among other high performance parts.
