The captive washers (a flat thick washer and a slightly smaller diameter "wave" washer) are the perfect combo for a tightly sealed oil pan. Overall length of the bolt is just under 20mm and is driven by a 10mm wrench or socket. In restoring my 1969 BMW 2002 I replaced these with new hardware.
