VTT is proud to offer a Phenolic spacer for the BMW B58 platform. When upgrading to an aluminum charge cooler you get the benefit of a better core, and more cooling capacity, but it also comes with the downside of DIRECT heat transfer from the head to the manifold which can cause heat soak and less-than-ideal IAT’s even with an upgraded charge cooler.
