My dad had an aviation radio shop his whole life. This unit is one giant dial in a 2' square box. This dial turns SMOOTH, and I always enjoy turning it by hand. It sets the direction from 0 through 360 for testing ADF radios. Who uses ADF anymore? I still think it's cool. Maybe you could use it in a movie studio or some kind of a prop or paint the front and use the dial to control some contraption? Or, of course, the best use would be for ADF testing purposes.
