Sale is for one factory original Lucas of England engine starter for Series 1 , 1.5 or 2 Jaguar XKE 4.2 litre cars , Part # 26252A and it is dated 12-68 (December 1968) . This was removed from a car that was parted out many years ago and dry stored since . We have bench tested and it energizes and spins freely with a charge however the drive gear does not engage , which is likely due to the time sitting , so it should be disassembled , cleaned and checked first .
