This HEI (High Energy Ignition) test tool came out in August 1973 for the HEI New 125mm Distributor equipped GM Cars. The Light duty truck engines came out in 1975 with HEi Distributors and Larger Gapped AC Spark Plugs. The center electrode is recessed 9/16" below the rim of the porcelain.
