Dodge trucks have exhibited Torque Converter Clutch 'hunting' ( on-off-on-off-etc) when equipped with the 47 or 48 RE transmissions. This is caused by electrical noise (usually alternator) that gets into the TPS (Throttle Position Sensor ) circuit.
