This is a replacement seal for early Cadillac and Oldsmobile Hydramatic transmissions. Fits 1941 to very early 1942 Cadillacs and all 1939-42 Oldsmobiles. It is National P/N 472150 and is 3.125" OD and 3/8" T (5/16" narrower than the original) for a 2.312" (2-5/16") shaft. The original OEM seal, 8600151, was 11/16" thick and used a felt outer ring to prevent foreign matter from entering. This seal uses a extra rubber lip instead facing outward to help prevent this.
