Designed to be a stabilization system to hold the bike up at stops then folds up while riding. Our shop installed this on a customers bike (2013 Harley Road Glide) and it worked as designed but he was uncomfortable with it so he has asked us to list it for him. It was only on the bike for about a week so it is new with a few miles on it. Instruction books included. Check out Landingear.com and it is listed as fitting 1988 to present. It does look like it will fit touring models of that vintage....
