there are two different lengths bur give me the production date on the door or give me the 3th didget from yr vin # and i will be sure u get the right one borth will work a problem i have faced all of my vw life peoplr get ome and insdtall it it fits so they go with it but they are about 1 inch different and destroy the shift bushing in less that one year if u r having that problem u pttobley have the wrong shifter if so tAKE IT OUT AND EMAIL ME AND I WILL TELL u if it is right one or mot measur...
