Our Shocks are adjustable in 3 ways: 1. Preload / Ride height - By adjusting the preload collar, this will put more or less pressure on the spring which will impact how far the spring will travel on impacts, the more preload the less travel. This also effectively adjusts the height the vehicle will sit. It is important that the vehicle's front sits 1/2" to 1" higher than the rear.
