These are new motorcycle black shock absorbers. The free length from eye to eye is 12.25" which is 1/4" longer than the original stock shocks. The 1/4" additional length is insignificant. They have black bodies with dual black springs. The lower spring is wound tighter than the upper spring which provides a progressive resistance. The springs have 5 tension adjustment positions.
