EMPI's replacement springs for VW Super Beetle front end are made new of high tension spring steel and fit all stock Super Beetle models (1971 to 1979). The strut springs install over the shocks, carrying the weight of the vehicle over the wheels. If your front end is sagging, your springs are probably weak and need to be replaced.
