The item is a starter motor designed for Models: FJ40, FJ45, FJ55, FJ60, FJ62, FJ80 Year: 1958-1992. This came off a 1978 Toyota Land Cruiser FJ40 with a 2F engine. This starter is the updated gear reduction version to the starters on the FJ40s which will allow for better performance. Roughly 8 -10 years old. Still works but slow to engage. Can be rebuilt or if you need a spare or need to get by it will work....
