Here is a Nicson Marine front timing cover for a Big Block Chevy BBC. It is cast aluminum and features the classic ribbed casting with the famous Nicson name casted in. The unit is machined to accept a cam-driven water pump. Also, in the casting includes "ears" for applications that require AN fittings for block cooling (no standard located water pump).
