This part is for Jeep Cherokee XJs years 1984-1996. This item is a OEM part and the ashtray is included. This item is not originally red to my belief. It looks to have been originally gray and was painted pretty well to match the red interior. They did it because the Jeep had a red interior and assuming red is harder to find than gray they just painted it. Actually doesn’t look bad but it definitely was painted.
