New old stock GM part# 1709962 in group 12.187 for 1975-79 GM X Body (hatchback models only) cars. It is a RH 'cover' we believe, based on the GM group number, a cover trim for the RH hatch hinge but you know your car better than we do. It is black plastic but is probably a 'paint to match' part that was only available in black.
