This is an original GM water pump for Big Block Chevy engines. The casting number is 386100. This style water pump is referred to as the "short" style and was used through 1968 on Chevrolet passenger cars and for longer on Corvette and truck models. This particular water pump has a casting date of J 19 73 which I believe decodes as October 19th, 1973..
